An Ode to Flip Flops!!

Oh, open toed beauties, your airy treads flip flopping as I stroll.

Your coolness, your comfort,

and also you style,

I here DO NOT extol!

I jump and dance and smile with joy

as others with envy stare,

Then I stumble and fall,

and my toes are all crimson...

"It hurts!", I sadly declare!

So from this ditty do take advise.

For little ones playing at school,

Practical shoes with support and comfort should be the general rule!

Kids'll jump and dance

and smile with joy,

their recess unabridged...

And then in the health office,

the nurse will have time

to administer to really sick kids!
